Roadster Sport

This picture comes from the 2010 Morgan Motor Company press CD and shows Matthew Humphries behind the wheel of a Roadster Sport, against a very flashy backgroundAfter the enormous success of the 4/4 Sport, the year 2010 saw the announcement of the Roadster Sport. It combines the low weight and attractive body lines of the 4/4 Sport with the powerful 220 bhp 3-litre engine from the Roadster.

Also on the Roadster Sport, the choice of body colours is limited to 8, while the dashboard comes in the same colour as the body.

The Roadster Sport was announced to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. The expected demand for both the 4/4 Sport and the Roadster Sport raised the annual production for Morgan to above the 800 level.

A Roadster Sport on the parking spot in front on the Despatch Bay, in October 2010That is unheard of ever since the introduction of the Morgan 4-wheeler. It is one of the indications that Morgan entered its own second century on a sound basis.

The smooth rear end and the painted wire wheels give the Sport varieties on the 4/4, +4 and Roadster a great look and with the increased storage space behind the seats they have become better companions to make long trips with.

They have proved an extra impulse for the traditionally bodied Morgans.
